Lighting control systems serve to provide the right amount of light where and when it is needed. Lighting control systems are employed to maximize the energy savings from the lighting system, satisfy building codes, or comply with green building and energy conservation programs.

Lighting Control Systems :

  • Basic Lighting Controls. Basic lighting controls consist of a manual on/off switch .
  • Dimmer Switches. Dimmer switches are a slightly more advanced way to control room lighting .
  • Motion Sensors for Outdoor Lighting .
  • Occupancy Sensors for Indoor Lighting .
  • Networked Lighting Control Systems .

Part to be required :

  • Arduino board(uno or arduino mega).
  • Android or ios device.
  • Standard library of redbearlab.
  • Relay board.

Lighting controls are input/output devices and systems. The control system receives information, decides what to do with it, and then adjusts lighting power accordingly. Here we see a basic lighting circuit (switch leg). Power travels along the circuit to energize a group of lights.
